Dr. Kendra A. Momon is a full professor of politics at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she also is the Chair of the Division of Politics, History, and International Studies, and the director of the university's Rich Foundation Urban Leadership Program. Concurrently, she also serves as the assistant lead pastor of Victory Midtown alongside her husband, Pastor Andrew L. Momon, Jr.
An in-demand public speaker and intellectual, she is an expert on politics, leadership, the black church, and hip-hop culture. She is the author of the book African American Politics, a cutting-edge introduction to the political successes, failures, and persistent challenges of African-American political participation in the United States. Dr. Momon has been a guest commentator on a host of local, national and international television news and media outlets, including CNN, The Associated Press, NPR, The AJC, and The Washington Post.
